Seminar

Seminar policies

  • This seminar consists of group sessions held weekly at a designated time and day as well as individual instruction by appointment.
  • Every week or every other week, one student will serve as the reporter during the group session, during which time he or she will report on thesis progress and lead a discussion in order to enhance the quality of students’ theses while simultaneously providing mutual stimulation. Although it will depend on the number of students participating and other factors, I hope that these sessions will consist not only of reports on progress, but also include readings and introductions of sources related to those theses.
  • I will also provide individual instruction as necessary. While I may instruct students to seek this instruction if I feel that they need to do so, in general I will offer it to those students who express an interest. Please make an appointment in advance by email if you are interested.
  • I plan to have graduate students participate as they do in other seminars.
